The “real” Story behind Moy Skincare’s Anti-aging Products and Striae Stretch Mark Crème

Dr. Lawrence Moy, a respected UCLA clinician with a busy dermatology practice in Manhattan Beach, CA, would regularly talk to his wife Lina about the various skin care concerns facing his patients. Early on, she put herself in the “patients’ shoes” telling him about her own “very real” skin care problems.

Little did Lina know she would become her husband’s “test market” for the Moy Skincare line of anti-aging skin care products and Striae Stretch Mark Crème for alleviating and preventing stretch marks. This is Lina Moy’s story…

Striae Stretch Mark Crème

Certainly, Dr. Lawrence Moy was happy about the birth of his first child in 1993, but he was faced with a dilemma. His wife was pleading with him, as a dermatologist, to come up with something to take away her unsightly stretch marks.

“I was desperate for anything that would help that would not require surgery,” said Lina Moy. “With my husband’s background as a UCLA researcher and his medical practice, I knew he could invent a solution.”

As Lina explains it, “My husband worked on it for nearly two years, coming up with one concoction after another. By experimenting with me, using the creams on one hip as a test area and comparing it to the other ‘control’ side, each batch produced better results—until eventually one combination of ingredients did the trick.”

Within a month of using the final remedy, she saw a noticeable difference as the stretch marks began disappearing on her hip. When the couple’s second child was born three years later, the Moy’s realized that the treated stretch marks did not return—but new ones showed up in other spots. “I gained 40 pounds during that pregnancy, which definitely produced new stretch marks,” said Lina

“By the time I was pregnant with our third child, my husband had me use the cream ahead of time as a preventative measure, and I had no new stretch marks after our son was born.”

“I was my husband’s test subject, but I certainly don’t regret it,” Lina concludes. Born in Bolivia, she appears on Spanish television to tell other Latinas—a group that is especially susceptible to stretch marks—about Striae Stretch Mark Crème.

Moy Skincare’s Anti-Aging Products

After his success with Striae Stretch Mark Cream, Dr. Moy turned his attention to developing an anti-aging facial skin care line—again at the bidding of his wife Lina.

“By the time all three of our children were born I was approaching my mid-30s,” said Lina Moy. “I began having hormonal changes that caused large, painful blemishes on my face—not pimples or acne, just raised red spots that once they eventually toned down left a blotchy redness that makeup wouldn’t cover.”

So Dr. Moy went to work again, first formulating the same ingredients contained in the Striae Stretch Mark Crème in a facial cream to see how it would work on Lina’s problem. Voila, the red marks were nearly invisible—and Moy Skincare Renewal Cream became the first of four products to make up this anti-aging skincare line.

Meanwhile, Dr. Moy was already perfecting a combination of other ingredients, from the best antioxidant agents and vitamins to a special product with neuropeptides, to relax and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Again, Lina tested the solutions and creams on her own face until the doctor was satisfied he had the best blending of ingredients. Late in 2005, he launched the 4-product line called the Moy Skincare System.

Lina has been using all four anti-aging products ever since, and not only have her red blotches visibly disappeared “…but my face looks better, if not younger. than it did in photos taken years ago!”

“One day, in preparation for a family gathering, I raced out to the market without makeup to pick up some beer…and would you believe I got ‘carded.’ The man at the counter could not believe I was over 40. It made my day!”

Lina is adamant about one thing.

“People think because I’m Dr. Moy’s wife, I’m privy to all kinds of ‘complimentary’ treatments, such as Botox, Microdermabrasion, and laser procedures. Like any woman, I want to look my best, but I have not had any of these procedures.

Another advantage Lina considers important is that even the first time she used Moy Skincare products, she had no stinging or redness—“which used to happen when I tried other anti-aging brands.” Also, in the past, my face would take on an oily shine later in the day, especially the T-zone area. I no longer have to dab on powder to fix this, and my entire face has a nice “matte” finish all day long.”
